A state of the art stadium, International Stadium Yokohama will host the 2002 World Cup final.
With a capacity of 70,000, the stadium is the biggest in use at the World Cup.
Completed in 1997 it features a stainless steel roof which covers about three-quarters of the seats and is home to the Yokohama F-Marinos in Japan's J-League.
Yokohama has a long history as a port city and has a population of more than 3 million.
