Synoptic situation
A strong SW change will affect the coast behind a trough passage during Friday
morning.

UPDATED Strong Wind Warning
Cape Naturaliste to Bremer Bay
SW winds 15/20 knots increasing to 20/30 knots during Friday morning. Seas to
2.0m. Swell to 3.5m.

The next warning will be issued by 11:00 am WST Thursday.

Please be aware
Wind gusts can be a further 40 percent stronger than the averages given here,
and maximum waves may be up to twice the height.

Thick cloud is spreading over western and southern WA as a trough deepens and draws in moisture from the Indian Ocean. This is leading to areas of patchy light rain extending from the Gascoyne to the southern coasts. Skies are clear across the north as the air remains dry.
