Charlie Company is one of four companies from the 51st Battalion based in the Torres Strait. It is the most racially integrated unit in the Australian Defence force - the soldiers both black and white are proudly united by the green of their camouflage uniforms.
Sights Unseen is a compelling story about the short but prolific life work of Aboriginal photographer, Michael Riley, his view on Aboriginal art and his determination to bring together a solid Aboriginal arts movement before passing away in 2004. Riley not only looked at the world through another lens he wanted the world to view what he saw and how he wanted Aboriginal art to be viewed.
The late Michael Riley is one of the most important contemporary Indigenous visual artists of the past two decades. Over his 20 year career he created an impressive body of work ranging from black & white portraiture to film, video and large-scale digital photography.
Paul Fleming is a 20 year old, 57 kilogram, baby faced, featherweight boxer who will represent Australia at the Beijing Olympics in August. Paul’s journey to Beijing began as a thirteen-year-old when he started training in the gym set up by his father Steve at the family home in Tully, Far North Queensland.
