Wild At Heart
Sarah's (Amanda Holden) absence couldn't have come at a worse time for Leopard's Den. Nature Conservation is carrying out their annual inspection and everything has to be tip top. Danny (Stephen Tompkinson) is determined they pass with flying colours and everyone is roped in to help. Rosie (Lucy-Jo Hudson) has already put a feather in their cap by successfully pairing orphaned elephant Togo with a surrogate mother. Danny is very proud and the family head to Max's (Martinus Van Der Berg) bar to celebrate.
The next morning the hangovers get worse when Du Plessis (Deon Stewardson) and Danny discover their watering hole is drying up and Rosie finds Togo has been stolen by poachers. On the morning of their annual inspection, the timing is lousy. Just as matters can't seem to get any worse, Du Plessis learns their inspector is an old adversary called Hibbitt (Paddy Lyster). When he tells Danny he punched him, years ago, Danny fears Hibbitt will be a tough man to please.
In spite of Danny's plea to stay out of it, Rosie enlists Max's help and to find Togo. Meanwhile, Danny discovers Fatani's (Thapelo Mokoena) new building works is the cause of their dwindling water hole. But Fatani refuses to stop the drilling and Hibbitt tells Danny he'll lose his wildlife permit if he can't water his animals.
Meanwhile Rosie's efforts pay off when she and Max recover Togo from a deserted warehouse. Hibbitt is impressed but it's not enough to change his mind. Without adequate water he has no other option but to close them down. Danny and the family are devastated - their future at Leopard's Den is hanging in the balance.
