Saturday, August 16 at 8:30pm - Ep 577 - Spilt Blood

Young woman Kate Glover (Fiona Ryan) is violently attacked and raped outside a nightclub, but she insists she was the victim of a mugging. CCTV shows her leaving the building with the club's manager Iain Andain (Daniel Brocklebank), but he claims they had consensual sex, and a very frightened Kate sticks to her story.

Sgt Stone (Sam Callis) and PC Sally Armstrong (Ali Bastian) discover Andain has form for similar crimes, but was never prosecuted.

Meanwhile, a planned drugs raid backfires when the CID is given false intelligence, but DI Sam Nixon (Lisa Maxwell) discovers that the drugs are linked to Andain's club, and gives him immunity from the rape allegation if he gives up the drug dealers.

Frustrated and angry that he got away with violent rape once again, PCs Sally Armstrong, Will Fletcher (Gary Lucy) and Ben Gayle (Micah Balfour) agree to a plan hatched by Sgt Stone to bring Andain down.

Saturday, August 16 at 9:15pm - Ep 578 - Deadly Cocktail

PCs Roger Valentine (John Bowler) and Beth Green (Louisa Lytton) respond to the reported sighting of a body being thrown into the river. The witness gives them a description and index of the car seen driving away.

When the car's owner, a young doctor, can't be located, a decision is made to send in the divers, and his body is found.

Mystery surrounds his murder until it's discovered that he was recently exonerated of a professional negligence charge, and the wife of the man who died had been sending threatening messages.

However, when CCTV footage shows a man walking away from the doctor's abandoned car, the investigation takes another turn.
