Where did you grow up?
In the thick of Adelaide’s north eastern suburbs.
Where did you go to school?
St Francis Xavier, Wynn Vale and Gleeson College in Adelaide.
What degree do you have and where from?
I’ve got a Journalism Degree from University of South Australia.
What were your first and second jobs?
My first job was scanning and packing groceries as a politely named ‘checkout chick’ for several years through high school. Great way to earn some money and learn just about every fruit and vegetable in existence, trust me! My second job was buzzing around in the air on weekends as a radio surf reporter. The great thing about that is you don’t even have to know a lot about the surf to sound like a true surfie.
Do you have a pet?
I do and her name is Bonnie, a two-year-old Tenterfield terrier. She keeps me on my toes!
What are your hobbies?
They range from challenging myself to ridiculously long mountain bike rides to sitting at home watching a really good DVD with lots of ice cream on the menu. I would have to say playing and mixing tunes in my headphones rates as one of my favourites though.
Most exciting thing you have ever done?
These questions are always so tough! But it’s a close tie between water-skiing on the Murray at Morgan and four- wheel driving across the outback. I know, both get the adrenaline going, but don’t make me choose!
