Robert Clark is the executive producer and he is basically the boss. He is involved in managing the budget and overall planning. Robert leaves the day to day decisions about what goes into the show to the producer, but is very involved in choosing the staff who work on the program.

Robert also looks for new ways to improve the program and spends a lot of time talking to other executives in the ABC to make sure that Behind the News makes the most of other opportunities and resources.
