Tom Ballard
Tom Ballard
presenter
Scientific Name
Thomius Psychanamoraliantopificaniumanius

First Discovery
This creature was first spotted in the wild jungle of community radio, where he was raised by wolves (see Alex Dyson) and regularly forgot to turn off microphones.

Habitat
The Tom Ballard is born and raised in coastal Victoria, but tends to move to what is known as the "Big Smoke" when he has eaten his parents, thus gaining financial independence.

Food Groups
Though largely vegetarian, this beast is technically allowed to eat both Marieke Hardy and the Doctor. Robbie gives him gas.

Evolutionary Influences
Ballard is raised on a healthy diet of hardcore-indie-screamo-grind-powerpop. He has been known to dance, cry and laugh to the likes of Ben Folds/Kweller/Lee, Fiona Apple, The Whitlams, Belle and Sebastian, Josh Pyke, Midlake, Oasis, The Hold Steady, Kate Miller-Heidke and many more, including the obligatory Beatles, Jackson 5 and Gabriella Cilmi.

Distinguishing Features
Growing to heights of over 6 feet, this life form can be identified by his bad posture, symbiotic relationship with the Alus Dysain and his partiality for the phrase "good az!".

Predators
Fans of professional radio.
