Dorothèe (played by Matylda Buczko)
Her worried parents send her to Pine Hollows hoping that a change of scenery might restore her passion for riding. As an added bonus they send her beloved horse, Hugo, so that he's waiting for her when she arrives. Matylda says about Dorothèe: "She is first wrongly seen as cold-hearted and mean. But she has just arrived from France where she was their National Junior champion. She probably pushed her horse too hard and had a fall while in a competition and she now has a limp. Dorothèe is traumatized by this and is sent to Pine Hollow to recuperate. Once she lets her defenses down, she is seen to be really compassionate and warm." Drew Regnery (played by Nikolai Nikolaeff)Drew Regnery is Max's cousin. When Max is invited to France to work in a state-of-the-art breeding barn, Drew jumps at the chance to step into Max's shoes. He has an entrepreneur's spirit and has always thought that Pine Hollow could be better run. His desire to put Pine Hollow on a more business-like footing leads him into forging a partnership with Veronica's dad, Mr DiAngelo. But he is also a sunny-natured person, so he doesn't make any sweeping changes to begin with. Nickolai on Drew: "I see Drew as stern, but with a soft side. He is a colourful character, a little complex, but very human." Melanie and Ashley
Jessie says about Melanie: "I think Melanie is quite mischievous and sometimes a little bit cheeky. Sometimes she may seem bossy but at most times, she is a nice girl." Ashley is played by Janelle Corlass Brown. Janelle says about Ashley: "I think she's a great girl. She is smart, but she doesn't always show it. She is very caring about her friends and likes to make sure everyone is ok. She thinks well and I would like her as a friend." |

months before the beautiful Dorothèe Doutey arrived in Australia
she was Junior European Eventing Champion. But her career suffered a huge setback
when she had a serious fall while competing at Badminton. She broke her pelvis,
spent 8 weeks in hospital and as a result her self-confidence is totally shattered.
