Life in Kenja

In 2007, after years facing charges of sexual assault, Ken Dyers, leader of the controversial self-help organisation Kenja Communications, committed suicide. Filmmaker Melissa MacLean who made the documentary Beyond Our Ken had unfettered access to Ken Dyers before his death and she analyses the pros and cons of life in Kenja. We also hear from a long-time member who has since left Kenja.

A Sufi Sheikh in Jerusalem

On the Via Dolorosa in Jerusalem, in a house that has been in his family for 400 years, the Sufi Sheikh, Abdul Aziz Bukhari is a beacon of hope for the future of Jewish-Muslim dialogue. The Year of Festivals: All Saints, All Souls and Advent

Celtic and Christian feast days intertwine on All Saints Day, or All Hallows Day (1 November), and All Souls Day (2 November). Dr Carole Cusack of the University of Sydney illuminates the ancient, medieval and contemporary practices around these festivals, with special mention for the Celtic celebration of Samhain. Advent on 30 November is one of the most important times on the Lutheran calendar. Bishop Barbara and the Anglican Church

On May 31st, Bishop Barbara Darling became only the second woman to be made a bishop in Australia, with a portfolio covering schools, hospitals, prisons, universities, youth, children and the multicultural church. Also on the program, the Rev'd Dr Bruce Kaye, former General Secretary of the Anglican Church of Australia, who believes encountering Jesus Christ is not a matter of going back in time to the 1st century, but about engaging with the cultural realities of the present.  Read Transcript
