Two fiddle playing singers: Australian Jenny Thomas and Czech Iva Bittova.
|
In this week's Music Deli two musicians who create their own 'personal folk music' inspired by a variety of cultures. Both Australian Jenny Thomas and Czech-born Iva Bittova have mastered the skill of singing and playing their violins at the same time -- not simply as an accompaniment but more like a duet between voice and violin. They talk about their music and we hear some of it in this program.
