Improving early childhood: Maxine McKew
The Parliamentary Secretary for Early Childhood Education and Childcare, Maxine McKew, wants to know what you think about early childhood, and how services could be improved.
There are forums being held around the country this month and in September for people to air their views.
The input from the consultations, together with advice from the Expert Advisory Panel, will inform the development of draft quality standards, a model for a rating system, streamlined licensing, regulation and accreditation arrangements.
Implementation of the standards and rating system is scheduled for July next year.
