Senator John McCain and foreign policy

The news that Senator Joseph Biden would be Barack Obama's running mate lends the Democratic nomination the foreign affairs and defence credibility it needs. But whoever wins the final race, the 44th American president of the United States will have to juggle any number of international strategic concerns, which not only include Iraq and Afghanistan, but the looming threat of a possible new Cold War with Moscow.
