Australia will appeal against the one-match ban handed to forward Rocky Elsom that is set to sideline him from this weekend's Tri-Nations match against South Africa in Johannesburg.

Elsom was suspended after being found guilty of dangerous line-out play during last weekend's win against the Springboks.

The appeal will be heard tonight by telephone hook-up.
