Flegg keen to resolve leadership issue

Posted April 2, 2007 09:33:00

Liberal leader Bruce Flegg says he wants to meet the Member for Clayfield Tim Nicholls today to resolve last week's leadership tensions.

Mr Nicholls' bid for the top job was over before it began, with the young MP never securing the numbers to formally challenge.

Dr Flegg says what is said in the meeting will be kept private.

"One of the problems with this whole issue is that there has been a dialogue going on through the media which has been particularly unhelpful for anybody," he said.

"My view is a face to face private discussion is by far the best way of sorting out this sort of issue."
