Cup runner-up under scrutiny

Racing Victoria has confirmed an investigation is underway into the type of veterinary treatment this year's Melbourne Cup runner-up received in the lead-up to the race. The English stallion Bauer could be stripped of its place and prize-money, if its treatment breached the rules of racing.
