Robert T. Sexton
Robert Sexton is a retired engineer in Adelaide, South Australia who loves sailing ships. So much so that he has made complete plan and elevation drawings for some 39 historical sailing ships. One of these was for the Investigator. The research he has collected and used to reconstruct this little understood ship (considering the amount we know of her well-known captain, Matthew Flinders) has allowed us to more fully understand how life on the little ship must have been. John Ford
John Ford is a marine artist with a passion for painting sailing ships in watercolour. Living in South Australia very close to the Port, John's beautiful paintings are inspired everyday as he walks and lives with the sound of clinking sheets and the smell of the sea in his nostrils.
