Pigs

 Feral pigs are widespread. Most have emanated from domestic stock, which are prized by locals for both their meat and their traditional importance in island culture.

Large colonies of feral pigs exist on some uninhabited islands, where they were dumped by local farmers after a Japanese Encephalitis scare in 1995. Here they are becoming a major environmental concern.
