WA Premier Colin Barnett escaped Perth for a whirlwind tour of the Dampier Peninsula and to attend the Durack Liberal party branch AGM in Broome.The Dampier Peninsular used to be a little known area as far from Perth as you can imagine. But plans for a controversial gas processing plant have brought a national focus, and this week the Premier of Western Australia toured the communities of the peninsular.
