Severe Thunderstorm Warning (Flash Flooding, Large Hailstones and Damaging Wind) for the Upper Western.
Moist northeaterly winds over NSW and QLD are feeding a trough, helping to maintain widespread rain and trigger storms. Another trough extends through the NT and SA, causing storms to increase there, with some moderate falls. A slim ridge over TAS is keeping skies clear. The northern jet is dragging moisture south across northern Australia, helping to cause widespread rain and storms. The southern jet is directing cold air away from TAS, towards NZ with a cold front.
