In a post-apocalyptic world a mysterious virus has annihilated the adult population and children are left to fend for themselves in a primitive and chaotic new era. With the collapse of all familiar structures, gangs begin to form and new ways of surviving soon develop as the few remaining children and teenagers tackle the task of building a New World.

Tribal gangs roam the streets, protecting individual groups in return for absolute loyalty. To start with, they loot stocks of processed food from shopping centres. But when these run out, unless they can teach themselves the technology to rebuild the world they knew, they will have to become hunters/gatherers like their ancestors.

Individual groups react in primitive, bizarre and uncontrolled ways. It is a dangerous, anarchic and fearful world. Leaders emerge and allegiances are quickly formed only to fall apart again. But some groups - like The Tribe - realise that this disaster brings a new opportunity and responsibility - a chance to shape and mould a new future for the world.
